Planning a Pool Around Your Home & Lifestyle
A successful pool design starts with more than choosing a shape or size. We consider how the pool will fit your property, how you plan to use it, and how it can complement the rest of your outdoor space. Whether your priority is family time, swimming, entertaining, relaxation, or a combination of everything, those goals help guide the design.
Your property's layout also plays an important role. Available space, access, surrounding landscaping, and the relationship between the pool and your home can all influence the final plan. Our team works with you to bring these pieces together and create an inground pool that feels like a natural extension of your backyard.
More Than Just a Swimming Pool
The right residential pool can become the centerpiece of your outdoor living space. Depending on your goals, your poolscape can incorporate features that make the area more comfortable, functional, and inviting for everyday use. From spaces designed for gathering and entertaining to peaceful backyard retreats, we'll help you think beyond the pool itself.
And once your pool is complete, our team can continue to help you care for it. Explore our residential pool and spa services for ongoing maintenance, seasonal openings and closings, equipment service, and more.

Gunite & Fiberglass Inground Pools
Every backyard and homeowner has different priorities. That's why Design Pool & Spa offers residential inground pool options to help you find the right fit for your property, style, and plans.
Custom Gunite Pools
Gunite pools offer extensive flexibility when it comes to shape, size, depth, finishes, and custom features. They're an excellent option for homeowners who want to create a highly personalized poolscape with features such as steps, benches, tanning ledges, waterfalls, or an attached spa.
Our team can help you design a custom gunite pool that complements your home and makes the most of your outdoor space. Learn more about what a gunite pool is and its benefits.
Fiberglass Pools
For homeowners interested in another inground pool option, Design Pool & Spa also offers fiberglass pool installation in the Greater Rochester area. Fiberglass pools feature a smooth, pre-manufactured shell and can offer a more streamlined installation process than a fully custom gunite pool.
Our team can discuss available fiberglass pool options, your property, and your goals to help you determine which type of inground pool makes sense for your backyard.
